Our organization
Baywood Canal Restoration is a voluntary, nonpartisan, resident-led neighborhood organization in Palm Harbor, Florida. We organize around evidence, public information, and practical solutions for the tidal canal system in and near Baywood Village.
Independent by design
Baywood Canal Restoration is independent of Baywood Village Association and Baywood Village Association 5. We do not speak for either organization, and neither association speaks for us, unless a formal written authorization says otherwise.
We welcome cooperation with both associations, other community groups, public agencies, businesses, and environmental organizations when it helps protect and restore the canal. Cooperation does not change our independence.
What guides us
Our purpose
We document current conditions, seek correction of active sediment or runoff problems, request transparent agency action, and pursue a fair, technically supported restoration plan—including dredging if an appropriate assessment supports it.
What we are
At this time, we are an unincorporated community organization—not a homeowners association, government agency, contractor, or legal representative for any resident.
What we are not
We do not assign blame without reliable evidence and appropriate findings. We do not trespass, interfere with work, promise outcomes we cannot deliver, or share supporters’ information without consent.
